IN THE FAR SOUTH
OPENING DAY AT GORE
Good fields have been accepted for practically all events on the opening day of the Gore Racing Club's Spring Meeting on Monday. The recent Duuedin Meeting provides a line to much of the form, but there are several additional Southlanders engaged who are forward enough to play a part in the decisions. The Gore Club is continuing to. take its investments by . the win-and-plaee mode, which will operate on Monday and Tuesday. ' The following horses are likely to be supported:— 12.30: Pukeruu Handicap.—Towing, Honest Maid,' and Grauado. 1.10: Waimea Hack Handicap.—Unseen, Jacobin, and Conca D'Oi'o. .1.50: Spring Handicap.—Hed Kacer, Steeton. and The Smuggler. 2.30: Labour Day Trot.—Bright Voyage, Fairhaven, and Vacation. 3.10: Novice Handicap.—Silver Issue, Southern Princess, and Flout. 3.50: Stewards' Handicap.—Master Anomaly and Knocklong.. 4.30: Mataiira Trot.—Kocks Ahead, Bingen Wrack, and Chechacho. 5.10: Charlton Hack Handicap.—Tauramai, Travenna, and Osculate.
