WORSER BAY CLUB
Such members as were able"attended a working bee held at Worser Bay last Saturday, and it resulted in an outstanding social success, writes a correspondent. A great deal of sand and rubbish was shifted besides, and tho foreshore in front of tho clubhouse is looking much better for its "spring clean.'"
Sunday was not a promising-day, but tills did not deter the Mabella from making her maiden sail in Worser Bay. The Nahliri and the Spitfire were rushed to tho bay rather late in the afternoon, both looking pictures. A dismal rain set in, but,, of course, at tho beginning of the season rain "just doesn't matter." A dainty southerly eventually danced into the harbour and provided a perfect sailing breeze. A steady gunwale breeze seldom obtains in Wellington. The usual wind last seasou was the blustering northerly whicli runs up and down the Beauforte Scale with exasperating suddenness. Will "Mainsail" kindly arrange for more souther lies?
