!ANNUAL; MEETING HELD
Tho annual meeting of the Women '-■ National Bescrvo Kesidontial Nuisery, held yesterday afternoon in the New Zealand Educational Institute, was well attended. Mrs. L. O. 11. Tripp wiib in the chair.
'Iteporls of tho local, bunches and ciioles were read and gave ovidenco of! the great inteerst shown in this very excellent cause. During the year two hun died and live babies had been in icsidenco at the nursery, Mrs. Tripp stated, and it was a matter of great importance that children were able to receive this care and attention while their mothers wore ill and unable to look after them. Not only was it a very wonderful thing for the children themselves, but also if was of tremendous importance and assistance to tho mothers. Mis. Tripp read tho annual report and balance-sheet and moved its adoption. Thin was seconded by Mrs. Covliss.. Special mention was made of the work of the honorary treasurer, Mrs. Pctorson. .Mrs. Tripp congratulated all those connected with tho cause on tlie <;.t----ceUeTit result shown by tho report and mentioned by name many of the- generous helpers. ' A letter of appreciation from Dr. Agues Bennett was read by Mrs. Porter. Tho balance-sheet revealed a satisfactory state of affairs. ■--.-.
