The "Daily Telegraph's" Belgrade! correspondent states thai interest centres in the personality of Princa Paul, whom the late King .Alexander obviously intended to govern the country. His fellow-Regents are expected to be principally concerned with Alexander's family affairs and private fortune, which is reliably estimated at between £500,000 and £1,000,000.
The French financial group which is backing Yugoslavia's enterprises has privately conveyed to Princa Paul, after conferences, an expression of their confidence that their investments are safe under the new Regency. They believe that Paul may prove firm, but more conciliatory than Alexander, and it is known that Alexander was embarrassed by persons who acquired claims against him during the Balkan and World Wars.
This clique became a burden oft the State, and Alexander intended to rid himself of them. He had prepared a list for a new Cabinelj of national concentration. The newf officials were intended to make the) change on the King's return • froml France. A cable was dispatched ot^ the day of his death: "Way clear) for your changes." The cable neverf reached him,, but the list has no\v| come into the possession of Prince) Paul, who is summoning Parliament next week. It is helieved thati he will then unfold plans for a Government of national concentration, coupled with a general amnesty*
