The four ranking officers of the Morro Castle who were charged in tho report of the Board of Inquiry which'investigated the fire on September 8, with negligence, along with acting Captain Warms, arc tho chief engineer, Mr. E. S. Abbott; the second officer, Mr. Clarence Hackney; the third officer, Mr. Harold-Hansen; and the first assistant engineer, Mr. Antonio Buijin. Tho acting chief officer, Mr. Ivan Freeman, alone among the deck officers, was not charged with negligence in the preliminary report of the inquiry.
