OBITUARY
SISTER M. ST. LIGUORI
The death occurred at Mpunt Magdala, Christehureh; last week, of Sister M. St. Liguori,- a member of the Order of tho Sisters of tho Good fchepiierd. Sister Liguori, who was born rat Bun.l edin in 1889, was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. MeGrath, of Hataitai. Mr, MeGrath was formerly well known as Inspector of Police in Wellington.
Sister Ligouri entered the Order of the Good Shepherd in 190S, after being educated by the Sisters of Mercy, Wellington, feiio wont through her training and novitiate in Abbotsf ord, and .on October 11, 1911, she was professed as a religious of the Order. After her profession she returned to Christehureh, whoro she was stationed ever since. For twenty-three years . she _ "joined these sisters of Christian charity in their many Icindiy works among the . poor ■and less fortunate- members of • tho community..
A solemn Pontifical Requiem Mass was celebrated in the Mount Magdala Convent Chapel by his Lordship Bishop Brodie, the Very Eev. Dr. Kennedy being as; sistant pri( st. The deacon of the Mass was the Very Bey. Fataei K. L Mc» Grath, S.M. (Mount Albert), brother of the deceased. Tho sub-deacon was the Eev. Fatdsr S. O'Connor (St. Mary's), and the assistants, at. the throne were the Very Key. Father T. Hanrahan (Biceartun) and the Very Key. Father O'Connor, P.P. (AddJngton). The chief mourners were Sister M, St. Lignori's father, Mr. J. A. MeGrath, and brothers, the Bey. Father McGrath and Mr. J. T. McGiarh. and Mrs. T. Hall, tho Misses A. and N. Hall, and Mr. W. Hall. The final prayers at the gravesiuo were recited by his Lordship Dr. Brodje.
