According to private advices received in Wellington the Colombo tea market this -week was dearer, prices advancing by about 3d per lb. Smaller' supplies are coming to hand. Wright has received the following cabled report on the Colombo tea auction of October 16:—The market at yesterday's sale was strong, common kinds advancing about %d and medium teas about %d, while fine grades remained firm. At next week's auction only 1,490,0001b is catalogued for sale.
