COMPLIMENTARY SOCIAL
A complimentary social in honour of Mr. K. N. Clark, who is retiring from th« superintendency ;of the Thbrndon Methodist Sunday school, was held in the schoolroom on Tuesday evening, wheA there were about a hundred scholars, parents, and friends present. Mr. Clark, who is shortly to be married, has been connected with the school for a number of years, first as secretary and later as superintendent. Appreciative reference to hi* work and the high esteem in which he is held by all was made by the Rev.H. J. Odell and of the church, Bible classes, and Sunday school, and a presentation on behalf of these organisations was made by Mr. F W. Goatham, a past superintendent of the feunday school Musical and elocutionary items, and a play were given by the scholars during the evening. ■ ' . ■ ■■-. .
