NO TOWN PLANNER
GOVERNMENT'S DECISION
OFFICER TO ADVISE
The announcement that after careful consideration, the Government did not intend to appoint a Director of Town Planning, was made by the Hon. J. A. Youiig, Minister of Internal Affairs, when opening the conference of the Town Planning Institute of New Zealand today.
Mr. Young said, however, that a man experienced in the work would be associated with the Department of Internal Affairs in an advisory capacity to bo of service to local bodies when required. That, said the Minister, should be adequate for the purpose.
