AMENDING LEGISLATION
The principal recommendations of the Parliamentary Committee which investigated the film-renting business during the recess will form the structure of tho Cinematograph Films Amendment Bill, which will be introduced in tho House of Representatives today.
It is understood that the recommendation of tho Committee requiring a standard form of contract to be drawn up has been modified as the result of coiiferonf-es which the Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. J. A. Young) hup hud with the importers, distributors and users of films. There will be provision for Ministerial intervonton J» the i-asi: of alleged hardship.
