WHEAT GROWERS' RETURN.

CHRISTCHURCH, October 16.
At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Wheat Growers' Co-operative Association, Ltd., it was announced that the reserves had been distributed by the payment of 19-24ths of a penny. The original capital, the annual report stated, was still intact, being represented by assets and investments. The following directors were re-elected unopposed:—Messrs. W. W. Mulholland (Darfield), James Carr (Methven), R. B. Meek (Oamaru), and P. R. Talbot (Timaru).
Angus and Eobertson. Ltd., Sydney, a publishing and bookselling company, reports a net profit of £13,637 for the year ended June 30, compared with £8381 in the previous year. The ordinary dividend is raised from 6 per cent, to 10 per cent., and requires, with the dividend at the same rate on employees' shares, £3143. The statutory deduction on preference dividends is restored, bringing the rate to the full 8 per cent., and the dividends require £4000.
