WEDDING
CHRISTENSEN—ELSON.
The wedding wvy; celebrated recently at St. John's Church, Woolston, of Lillian Matilda Elson, eldest daughter of Mrs. G. H. Jones, Victoria Park, to Herbert Christensen, Christchurch. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. A. Tooley. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr. Percy Elson, wore a frock of: ivory all-over" lace over a deepershaded satin. The bodice was inset with georgette and lace, while the large pun! sleeves wore gathered at the elbow to a tight-fitting cuff to fall gracefully over the hands. The skirt fitted closely, falling away in a full flare at the- knee. Her veil was of silk embroidered tulle, set off the face with a coronet of orange blossom, and her bouquet was of cream roses, freosias, and lily of the valley. The bridesmaid, Miss Phoebe Hart, wore a becoming dress of palest lime taffeta, fitting closely to fall away at the knees into a large flare inset with godets of narrow frills. Her Juliet cap and gauntlets of Silver lame were in keeping with her silver shoes. Her bouquet of tangerine shades was of tulips, anemones, and abutilions.
Mr. Alec Hughes was best man. A roception was afterwards held at the "Dorothy," Cashel Street, where Mrs. Jones received the guests, wearing a smart grey and red crepe do chine frock with a grey swagger coat and a red hat to match., and carrying a bouquet of red ranunculus, tulips, and anemones. Items wore given by Mrs. G. H.-Jones (song), Miss Joyce Hart (tap dance), and Mr. Wallace (song). Mr. and Mrs. Christensen will make their future home in Christchurch.
