FELTON, GRIMWADE DIVIDEND.
An increase of 2 per cent, in the dividend rate to ordinary shareholders of Felton, Grimwade, and Duerdins, Ltd., Melbourne, is made possible by a rise of £6192 in the net profits for the year ended June 30 last. Gross earnings increased from £135,507 'to £143,307, while expenses at £99,452 were £4343 higher. Depreciation absorbed £1340, compared with £1249 a year ago, and after making "1-ovision for taxation, which was £2826 lower, at £5487. the net earnings increased from £30,835 to £37,028. Preference shareholders received their 8 per cent, payment, which, with the 7 per cent, distribution on ordinary capital, absorbed £38,200. leaving a balance of £956 to be carried forward in the current year accounts, compared with £2123 brought in.
