NEW APPOINTMENTS
THE LATE M. POINCARE

PARIS, October 15,
Senator Lemcry, of Martinique, has been appointed Minister of Justice, and M. Charles Magny, Director of the Surete Generale.
M. Poincare was a comparatively poor man. He died suddenly in the presence of his family and friends. He will be accorded a national funeral on October 20. The shock of the assassinations is believed to have hastened Ms death, His Majesty sent a message of sympa< thy.
