LATE MR. VIVIAN RIDDIFORD

MARKS OF ESTEEM

The high esteem in which the late Mr. Edward Vivian Biddiford was held was shown by the very large attendance at the impressive memorial service conducted by the Rev. H. E. K. Fry in St. James's Church, Lower Hutt, yesterday afternoon. Every pew in the church was taken. Mr. Fry read chapter 15 of St. Paul's first epistle to the Corinthians. Psalm No. 90 and tho hymns "O God of Jacob by Whose Hand" and "Absent Friends" were sung. Appropriate prayer was offered. Mr. Fry apologised for the absence of Archdeacon Hansell, who was prevented from attending by a slight accident.
