EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS

Under a broiling Argontino springtime sun, 500,000 of the Roman Catholic Church's faithful assembled yesterday to partake in the solemnity of Pontifical High Mass.
So terrific was the lieat in the open air cathedral that 400 women and girls collapsed. Laymen and priests alike wcro permitted to cover their heads against the sun. Palermo Park, a hugo tract on the Rio de la Plata, was crowded far beyond tho 250,000 seats erected for tho Eucharistic Congress, tho congregation converging at tho 105-foot cross in tho centre of the park. Bishop Orihuoluy, of Alicaute (Spain), officiated at Mass in place of the Papal Legato, Cardinal Pacelli, who officially opened the recently constructed church of Santa Rosa de Limn.
A great, sea of humanity congregated in Palermo Park today to hear Monsignor Fasolino, Archbishop of Santa Fc, Argentina, on tho third theme of tho international Riicharistii; Congress. The theme was "Christ the King in the History oF Latin America and especially in the Argentino .Republic."
The congress will end on Sunday in a great procession of the Holy Sacrament. Popo Pius will impart a benedicthii] to the closing of the congress by radio.
