On Saturday afternoon a most successful children's fancy dress party was held in the Boys' Institute Hall, Tasman Street, tho object being to assist the fund to send three Institute Boy Scouts-to the.forthcoming jamboree at :M;.elbourae. . ■ , ..,■;•'' V

In tho capable hands 6£ the- members of tho Scouts' Parents' Committee, tho proceedings went with a swing, and that tie children were enjoying themselves was obvious, their: delighted laughter unging out at thei,,antics of i Scoutmaster Lamb and Rover-Leader Bartlott, who were excellent "clowns." Tho "grand.march." w^s...impressive, and the judges, Mrs. Foster and Mrs. "V. I. McCallum, had no easy task in selecting the winners. The prizes were piesented by the Metropolitan Commissions, Mr. H. V. Foster, who made a happy speech. • . . The pupils-of Miss Margaret Oates quo pnteitiining items, and the neces-'-Ai v pi mo items were played by Mrs. Ti.nl, Mis Kain, and Miss Oates. Tho director of the institute, in thanking thbso who ' had' worked to make the afternoon so enjoyable,, drew attention to the bazaar to be held for ithe same cause later in the month.
