SCULLER FAREWELLED
P. Abbott, the Petone Club sculler who is to compete at the Melbourne Centenary regatta early next month, was farewelled by Wellington oarsmen and their friends in the Petone clubhouse on Saturday afternoon. He is leaving for Australia this week, as are also the.Union (Wanganui) Boat Club.eight and R. B. Smith, of Waitemata. Abbott will also compete at the New South Wales championships during his visit to the Commonwealth.
