At the international professional tennis tournament at Southport Plaa defeated Maskell, (5-2, 12-10, 6-4; Tilden defeated Gledhill, 7-51, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4; Plan, and Gledhill defeated Maskcl and Tilden, S-6, 6-2. Plaa defeated Gledhill/6-4, 6-3, 4-8, 10-8; Tilden. defeated Maskell, (5-2, 6-1, G-2; Maskell and Gledhill defeated Tilden and Plaa, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3. S. N. Doust, in tho "Daily Mail,"' says that tho first international professional tournament in Britain pro« dueod finer tennis than the best amatours could display. Tilden is as good as ever.
