BRITISH SAILORS' SOCIETY.
\n enjoyable evening was spent at the rooms of the British Sailors' Society on Thursday. There was a very large and enthusiastic audience of seamen and friends. The programme was arranged by Mrs. F. Crawford and Miss Margaret Oates, and was thoroughly enjoyed by all present. The entertainment consisted _of songs, recitations, and dancing items, also instruments and a short community sing. Items were contributed by Misses Prince, Valda Crawford, F. Rigby, In. Jacobs, Doris Bartlett, Beveridge, Margaret Oates, Joyce Jenkins, A. Boe, R. Jacobs, Edith Hutchison, Nathalie Pollick, Griffin, Pat Morey, Fox, L. Savage, J. Chegwidden, and Mrs. Crawford, Messrs. Outtnmm, W. McGrath. dv Rhone, Dave Clarke, W. Hines, Hutchinson, Bernie Green, and O'Dell of the s.s. Hertford. Comedy items were contributed by Misses Pat Morey and Margaret Oates. At the conclusion, a vote of thanks to Mrs. Crawford and Miss Oates was carried with acclamation, supper was served, and the evening was brought to a close with the singing of "Gad Save the King."
