MY ADVENTURE
1 (Original-) One moonlit night I looked out of the -window and saw the fairies dane- , ing on the lawn. Just then I heard a ' little cry and closo by me I saw a little fairy crying as if her heart would break. She told me tho other fairies would not play with' her because she was poor and did not have pretty rlieases like they. did. She asked me to piny with 'her. So -wo played till the -|my said jt .was time to go home. The next day'was Saturday, so I went to m,y sewing box and found some ■ pretty pink silk. and some, pink lace with red roses on' it and some green - satin. I took a needle and some-cotton, and I found some tinsel. I sewed the tinsel on to the top of tho lace and '-■ made a pretty, crown. Out of the <*reea satin'l made a pair of satm. '' slippers. I made a protty pink dress '■ out of tho. pink silk with a piece ofthe. pink lace in.the.middle and some ' round the sleeves. I wrapped them carefully in brown paper aud put it in That night I played with the fairy as T did the night before. When the fairy said it was time to go home I gave her "the clothes. She was delighted, and put them on at once. After thanking me for them she went over to the other fairies and said. "Please may I play with you?" The fairies said "Yes," and ever since that night she plays with the other fairies, and is never unhappy any more. "GEETCHEN" (7). City,?-
