COMPARED WITH PEAK PRICES
(By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Received September 29, 11 a.m.)
SYDNEY, This Day
The weekly wool letter of the "Sydney Morning Herald" states that continued satisfaction must be 'expressed that the simultaneous wool sales in Australia and London have not produced any decided ill effects on values. The demand for fleece wool and skirtings showed increased strength during the latter part of the week at the Sydney sales. Fleece wools and skirtings on the current basis are about 15 per cent, higher than in tTie early part of 1933, before prices commenced ,to show the rise which reached its top point last January. Values are now 45 to 50 per cent, below the high level above quoted.
