COMMITTEES ELECTED
Mr. W. H. Bennett was by acclamation re-elected chairman of the Board of Governors of the Wellington Technical College at the first meeting of the now ■board last night, and acknowledgment was made of the very valuable services he had rendered during the many years of his chairmanship. In reply, Mr. Bennett acknowledged tho loyalty'and singleness of purpose of members in promoting technical education in Wellington. / f . The chairman welcomed all the members who had been re-elected and the two new members, Mr. T. Brindlc .and Mr. 11. Thompson. It was particularly gratifying, he'said, to know that Mr. T. Forsyth had been reappointed to, tho board. He had been a, member for fourteen or fifteen years, and his experi-. once and knowledge was of great value. Other speakers endorsed Mr. Benr nett's remarks concerning Mr. Forsyte, who suitably replied. Mr. Brindlo replied on behalf of Mr. Thompson and himself. Committees were elected as follows: — Standing committee: Messrs. W. H. Bennett, C: ll,' Chapman, M.P., T. Forsyth, W. Howe, J. Pearco Luke, G. h. Stewart. Art advisory committee: Mr. H. C. Morton and Mrs. C. J. B. Norwood. Building trades advisory committee: Messrs. W. H. Bennett, T. Brindlc, and W.. Mill. Coachworkers' advisory committee: Mr. C. H. Chapman, M.P. Commercial advisory committee: Mr. Tl. Forsyth. Ladies' advisory committee: Mrs. A. Me Vicar and Mrs. C. J. B. Norwood. Mechanical engineering advisory committee: Mr. J. Pearce Luke. Motor engineering advisory committee: Mr. T. Bead. Painters and decorators advisory^ committee: Mr W. Mill. Plumbing advisory - committee: Mr. H. Thompson. Special building committee: Messrs. W. H. Bennett, W. Mill/. H. C. Morton, and T. Brindlo.
