DUNEDIN AS NEXT VENUE

AUCKLAND, September 24. A decision to" hold the next Dominion championship meeting on the Balmacewen Club s course at Dunedin was made at the annual meeting ,of delegates to the New Zealand Ladies' Golf Union. Mrs. H. S. Lawrence (Christchurch) presided. Delegates agreed that in the event of a visit by a women's team from England a more central course for the event would be chosen. The championship tournament would then be - held on •, the Balmacewen Club's course in the. following year. ' Mrs. Guy Williams (Masterton) was [elected president of the Union. Mrs. H. Q.'Mellsop, -whose late husband gave the original trophy for the best three scores registered in the medal rounds played in the coutse of championships, handed to the union a cheque for £200 left by him in order that if.it ever becomes necessary a replica of the present cup could be. purchased.
