OBITUARY

MRS. HUGH GILLIES

The death occurred today at. her residence, -Edinkillie Park, Palmerston North, of Mrs. Marion E. Gillies, widow of tho lato Mr. Hugh Gillies, who died only a few weeks ago. Mrs. Gillies was a daughter of Mr. Manson, one of the pioneer settlers of Palmerston North. Edinkillie Park is part of the original property which was brought by the owners into cultivation from its original bush state. Mrs. Gillies was a kind and hospitable woman, and was widely respected in the Manawatu district. The funeral will take place at Palmerston North tomorrow afternoon, following a service at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church at 1.45 o'clock.
