Peter Davidson (not Dawson, as.was cabled),■'who won the piping .competition,against Scotland's best at Oban, in twenty-five'years of age, and was. born and educated in Dunedin. He- has taken part in piping competitions in New. Zealand since the age of ten, and .won tho New.. Zealand-, pibroch championship at. Dunedin in June, 1933.. He left last January to attend classes at. a .college in Aberdeen, and intends to obtain further experience.in- Canada and to return to New Zealand nesfc year. While in Scotland ; he competed with success against the world's best pipers at Bllon Games. He was second in strathspeys and, reels, and., won ia marches. . . , . ,
