CASES AT WAIPUKURAU

(By Telegraph—Press Association.)

WAIPUKUEAU, This Bay.

Thieves early this morning broke into Yates's Cash Stores through the skylight and stole practically all the tobacco stock. They also entered W. Boj'ors's billiard saloon by a rear window, but nothing is missing. From a petrol pump outside Wells's garage 25 gallons of petrol was stolen, the lock being removed. It is understood that the night watchman was suspicious about this episode and advised' the police, and that at Takapau the constable there stopped a southbound ear and two men ran away.
