A DREAM REEF
GOLD AND SILVER
DISCOVERY NEAR HAMILTON

HAMILTON, This Day.
While fossicking in the hills on the Waikato Land Settlement Society's property at Whatawhata, teu miles west of Hamilton, three amateur prospectors discovered a ' reef showing in a preliminary assay small quantities of gold and silver. This area is not generally regarded as gold-bearing, but in view of the as,say results it is considered possible that a richer reef may be found in the locality.
Further samples have been sent to the James School of Minns, and when the results are'to hand the investigations will bo continued.
The discovery was made-under unusual circumstances, in that the location of the .reef, was revealed to one of the prospectors by li'is lato father iv a dream. When it was found its characteristics corresponded with those of the dream reef.
