THE COMPETITIONS

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —I wish to thank "Visitor" for his complimentary remarks in. connection with the recent festival. I can assure him that the suggestions mentioned on our final night from the platform will receive: serious consideration at the annual meeting, which will be held shortly. I wish to emphasise the fact that my executive welcomes any suggestions for the improvement of the festival, as it is. only by constructive criticism and the co-operation of the Wellington public that our competitions will not only be kept up to the presetit high standard, but will reach an even higher plane. May I appeal to all—in view of tho annual meeting—to help us, as "Visitor" has done with such useful suggestions. We will welcome anything of a constructive nature. —I am, etc., '■'■"■ . . ■ ■ G. W. MOKGAN, President, Wellington.'Competitions Society.
