ESPERANTO CLUB

The weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club was held on Tuesday night in the V.M.C.A. Mr. Vernon Leek presided. In the unavoidable absence of the secretary, Mr. A. G. Blong filled the position during the evening. Tuition classes occupied the first portion of the session, after which a short programme of entertaining items was presented. Mr. F. Dahl contributed a pianoforte solo—Paderewski's "Minuet." Mr. Catheart sang in Esperanto "Annie Laurie." An original Esperanto, comedy entitled "Granda Anticipp" was presented by Messrs. Vernon Leek (the new boarder) and Bertram Potts (the landlady). The concluding item was a pianoforte solo by Mr. Dahl —"Meditation."
