BIG LOG1 SIGHTED.

' The Director-General (Sir. G. MeNamara) of the Post and Telegraph Department has received the following'navigation warning' transmitted from Sydney radio at 10.22 p.m. yesterday:— The master of the Aeon reports having sighted near Cape Everard, bearing 357 distance six miles, a large log about 25 feet long which Is dangerous to navigation.

GOLDEN STATE DELAYED.

The Golden State, en route from Auckland for Wellington, reports by radio that she is encountering heavy weather, and that she does not now expect to arrive here before tomorrow morning. She will probably leave the same day for Australian ports to complete discharge of her Pacific Coast cargo.

PORT HOBART'S DEPARTURE.

The Port Hobart, which has been held up owing to tho waterside dispute at Wellington, i 3 now expected to sail this evening for Lyttelton and Duncdln to complete discharge of her New York cargo.

RANGITIKI AT LONDON

The Itangitlkl; which left, Wellington on August 3 for London, via Fanama, arrived at London yesterday morning.
