SOUTHERN EXPRESSES
The express train service bc ltwcen l Duiicdin and Invercargill will run daily (except on Sundays) each way as from Monday next, states Mr. H. 11. Sterling, chairman of the Government Railways Board.-
In July, 1930, when the depression was setting in heavily, the daily service was changed to thrice-weekly, each way. Mr. Sterling states that the board is confident that the restoration of the daily runs will bo justified by results. "The railway figures continue to be encouraging,. and the signs point to increases iv traffic," he says. ;
