AUCKLAND, This Day

The inspectors appointed to investigate the affairs of the companies named in Parliament last night began work this morning.1 No other information is available, the inspectors being officers of the Court.

A lengthy statement by Mr. M. H. Hampson, who is mentioned in the Commission's second report, was issued today, and is being posted to all newspapers. ■
