MISSING GIRLS
INQUIRIES IN SYDNEY
SEQUEL TO ALBURY CASE
(Received September 5, 2.30 p.m.) 1 SYDNEY, This Day.
The police are astounded at tho number of hitherto unreported cases of missing girls that have been revealed since the discovery of the body of an unidentified girl at Albury. Nearly two hundred persons called or telephoned, expressing fears for missing friends or relatives. As a result, the detectives in a number of instances traced girls whom relatives had not seen for years. -
With the forehead battered and the legs and part of the trunk charred, the Tjody of a girl of about 20, so far unidentified, was found on Sunday; in a culvert near Albury.
