Allott (Miramar), 7st 12%1b, by a technical knock-out in the third, round. Larsen kept his guard up and worked mainly with a straight left, whereas Allott was inclined to leave himself open. Featherweight. Semi-finals.—ll. Dunn (Moera), 8s t 13141b. defeated It. Wood (Miramar),-Ost, on pofnt*. Awaiting favourable opportunities, Wood scored with a two-handed attack to • the body, and covered up well against his opponent's reprisals. Though he appeared to 'slacken in the second round, Dunn fought vigorously iv the last and earned a popular verdict. W. Aitken (Newtown), Bst 12VAh, defeated U. Joyce (Miramar), Bst 13%1b, on points. In a willing contest the two boys repeatedly stood up and exchanged blow for blow. Aitken was a shade the cleverer. Final.—Aitken defeated Dunn on points. Aitken (Newtown), Bst 4V-lb, defeated S. Donoghue (Miramar), Sst Clb on points. Donoghue spoilt Ins chances by hitting with an open glove, being warned twice. Aitken went down for a count of seven in the first round, and when he was felled heavily in the second Finnegan was awarded the bout. The winner was much too good. Lightweight. Seini-finals.-L. Murray (Moera), Ost 71b, defeated S. Smith (Miramar), Ost 7>Mb, on points. The crowd derived quite a lot of amusement from bmiths deportment in the ring, but he soon showed that he was not to be taken lightly, and throw in rapid punches, sometimes at .unexpected "oments P He stayed down for a count o nine in the second round, but finished (Tartan), Ost 71b, defeated R. Hall (Crawford's) by a technical knockout in the third round. Hedberg set up a vigorous attack from the outset, and felled Hale for a count of nine m the second round. Hale was practically defenceless in the last round, and the bout defeated Hedberg on points. Murray had the advantage in ?each, but Hedberg made good use o the opportunity whenever he got to close Outers. Plying his lcflTbusil* and casionally bringing his right ovei, ,* >ma> took the first round easily. Hie .second « more even, and they had a ding-dons «o in the third, which was the most sue eesaful so far as Hedberg was concerned. Welterweight. Semi-final.-X. Camerou (Miramar), 10st 71b defeated J. Plank (Tracy's), lOst 5%1b, on points. There was not a great deal of variety in the bout. Arbutlmott (Miramar) in the final. Middleweight. Final—R. Reid (Crawford's), list 41b, defeated J. Mansfield , (Crawford s). list 0141b, on points. Aiming mostly at the head, the pair mixed :it freely, but were inclined to • hold every time they came together. Reid's straight punching carried him through, but he had very little to spare. Light-heavyweight. Semi-final.-X. Reid (Crawford's) list 41b defeated J. Jones (Miramar), 12st .4 b, on points. Punching straight and cleanly, Reid clearly established superiority over the other boy. It was quite a good bout. In the final, J. Mansfield (Crawford's) defaulted to Reid. Heavyweight. J Jones (Miramar); 12st 41b, defeated G ' Holcroft (Silvcrstrcam), 12st, 011 points.
