EASTERN HUTT CLUB
The annual report or the Eastern Hutt Tennis Club, presented at the annual meeting recently, states that despite several resignations. at the beginning of the year the membership was well maintained. It was hoped that with the acquisition of new courts the membership would increase to the desired extent. For the season there were 44 active and two honorary, members. The club now held a ten years' lease from the school committee of portion of the school grounds, and possessed three new. courts, the equal of any in the Hutt Valley. The club now had an up-to-date pavilion.. The finance of the club had been bound up with the construction of the courts and pavilion, but the position at present could be regarded as satisfactory. The prospects were that the ensuing season would be a particularly successful one for the club.
