NELSON, September 4,
Mr. C. B. Fell has been re-elected chairman of the Nelson College Council of Governors. There was no other nomination and members paid a tribute to Mr. Pell's keen interest in the affairs of the council.
Miss K. A. Wilson, who has boon on thj staff of the Nelson branch of the Department of Labour for the past ten years, lias been appointed to the position of an inspector of factories at Auckland, and she will leave shortly to take up her new duties. On behalf •of tho staff Mr. S. E. McGregor made a presentation to Miss Wilson and congratulated her on her promotion. At the last meeting of the Nelson Local Unemployment Committee members took tho opportunity of expressing to Miss Wilson thanks for the valuable assistance she had rendered the committee during the past, three and a half years. Miss Jean Simpson, of the Wellington staff, has been appointed to the vacant position.
