VISITING NEW ZEALAND
INVENTOR OF BLENDED FUEL
SYDNEY, August 31. Mr. J. C. Whiteman left by tho Mararua for New Zealand, which country ho is visiting at the request of the Dominion Government to consult with it regarding the production of local motor spirit. Mr. Whiteman is the inventor of a fuel-blending process based tin a mixture of vegetable alcohol with mineral spirit.,.- - .',
Dr. E:Marsden, Secretary to the Dopavtmcnt oi" Scientific and Industrial Research, said that tlio Department had had somo correspondence with. Mr. Whiteman on the blending process in which he was interested, but that Mr. Whiteman was visiting New Zealand on his own account.
