CHRISTIAN YOUTH RALLY
The annual rally of the young men and women of the various Christian youth movements in Wellington will be held in the Town Hall tomorrow at 3 p.m., preceded by mass chorus singing at 2.45 p.m. Their Excellencies Lord and Lady Bledisloe will be present, and the gathering will be addressed by the Governor-General. The speaker at the rally will be the Rev. H. Leggate,' M.C., organising padre from Toe H, England. There will be appropriate musical items by Miss Ngaire Coster and the Madrigal Singers. Mr. H. Temple White will be at the organ, and Captain F. C. Pearce and Mr. J. N. Duncan will be in charge of the mass chorus singing. Devotions will be conducted by the Rev. J. R. Blanchard. The function, which will be presided over by Mr. M. A. Tremewan, has been arranged by the Wellington Christian Youth Council, with which are affiliated the Young Men's and Young Women's Bible Class Unions of the Anglican, Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, and Congregational Churches, . the Young People's Department of the Churches of Christ, the V.M.C.A., the Y.W.C.A., the Student Christian Movement, the Nurses Christian Union, and the Girls' Life Brigade. The organising arrangements are in the hands of Mr. L. J. Grcenberg, general secretary' of the Wellington V.M.C.A. All young men and young women are invited to attend this rally, there bfing 110 charge for admission, but a collection will be taken up to defray expenses.
