Sjr,—ln last, night's issue of your paper Thread a letter penned by a contributor, ■ Lewis C. Grant, M.Com., A.B.A.N.Z. I gather that the correspondent concludes the open sesame into executive positions should be a theoretical qualification. I would ask Mr. Grant not to labour under such a delusion. A brief survey of the typo required by big industry and its many executive positions would assuredly convince him of the fact that the mere attainment of a university degree is conspicuous by its absence. In what universities were Messrs; Ford, Kahn, Carnegie, and Morris, to name a few, educated?—the university of practical experience.—l am,'etc.,
