BROOKLYN BRANCH

The annual meeting of the- Brooklyn branch of the Social Progress Movement was held in the social room of the Methodist Church, when Mrs.Niven, secretary, presented an interesting- report on the year's work. The election of officers followed the reading of the report, when the following were called to uudortake the work of the ensuing twelve months:—President, Mrs. Nieolson; vice-president, Mrs. B. Wright and Miss Crabtree; secretary, Mrs. J. Kean; committee. Mesdames Niven, Donovan, Graham, Gordon, Spencer, Gardiner, Kelly, and Miss Howden.

Mrs. J. Down was the speaker for the afternoon, and she was listened to with keen interest. Three new members were enrolled. Mrs. Jones sang delightfully, and the serving of afternoon tea brought a very pleasant gathering to a close.
