SERIES OF CHARGES
CONDUCT OF NIGHT CLUB
After he had heard the evidence, Mr. E. Pago, S.M., in the Magistrate 's Court today reserved his decision in respect of a series of charges arising out of the conduct of the Crow's Nest Night Club, Island Bay. The proprietor, Stanley Dowdall List, was charged with selling liquor in a No Licence district (two charges), keeping premises as a resort for the consumption of liquor in a No Licence district (three changes); and trading on Sunday. ' William Bowes Bandy was charged with selling liquor without a licence, and aiding the offence of keeping premises for the consumption of liquor (three charges). Charges of selling-liquor without a licence and aiding and abetting the commission ot an offence were also preferred against Archibald Crawford. ■
The defendants pleaded not guilty to all the charges. Mr. A. Dunn appeared for List and Bandy, and Mr. B. Harclie Boys for. Crawford.
