SURPRISE IN BRITAIN

LONDON, August 26. "The Observer" says that English readers are puzzled to learn that thers arc forty Douglas Credit candidates for the Australian elections. Their bewilderment illustrates the old saying that prophets have Jittle honour in .their own country. "The Douglas Policy and Social Credit has not attracted a large academic or proletarian following here* Now we have the spectacle of a philosopher at one end of the world accepted as a politician at the other."'
