BOXING

HURNE DEFEATS DAL COSTA

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, August 26.

In a sparkling exhibition of fast, open boxing, mixed with exciting rallies, Cyril Hume (Wellington), Bst 61b, clearly outpointed the New South Wales bantam champion, Dal Costa, over fifteen rounds. Dal Costa was 61b the heavier, but Hurno had an advantage in height and reach* which he used well.

In a brilliant display of boxing Hurne won all but three rounds, beating the Australian to the punch throughout and frequently outfighting him. Both gave an exceedingly clever display, free from clinching.
