BOY LOSES AN EYE
HIT BY GOLF BALL
As tho result of being hit in the eye by a golf ball on the Petone Recreation Ground on Saturday afternoon, Leslie Wallace, aged 11, of Korokoro, had to have his eye romoved.
In company with another small boy Wallace was playing with a golf bull, mid when, a hockey team was about to take the field one of the players hit the golf liiill with his hockey stick, wilh the result that tlio boy was struck in tho eye. lie was attended to by Dr. Bakewoll ami taken tti the hospital ■u/l j;hc ambulance.
