ST. JAMES THEATRE.
Another bright programme, called "The Whirl of the Town," providing n good mixture of flesh and blood beauty and comedy with film drama, is being presented at the St. James Theatre by Clem Davre and company. Mr. Dawe and his team ps.lt on a new lot 'of clever sketches, the ballet and the specialty dancers spread new steps and fancies, the singers charm with new songs, and violinist Ivanoff and the orchestra, are at their best. Ann Luciauo and Muriel O'Mallcy are heard in beautifullyharmonised songs. Halliday and Watson, two brilliant adagio dancers, are seen in some novel dances, and Cliff O'Keefe is heard to advantage. Edna Moncrieff sings and dances, and Edna Luscombe, Joe Shriner, Ralph Daly, and Dorothy White add their quota to the entertainment. The ballet does first-rate work throughput the revue. Bright'music is provided by Tom King and his orchestra. The first half of the programme is taken up by "Finishing School," a story of life in a young women's seminary.
