United Prcsa Association—By Electric Tclaeraol! —Copyright SYDNEY, August 6. The Federal Minister of Commerce, 1 Mr. F. 11. Stewart, announced that tlio I estimates of possible exports of meat from Australia to Britain during tho last six months of 1934, which had been forwarded to the British Government, provided for an increase in volume in comparison with previous years, and he anticipated that it would be acceptable to the British Government. Mr. Stewart emphasised that the feeling in Australia was completely against either duty or restriction on Australian meat exports, and that the British Government had been informed that cither was contrary to all the principles of Australian development. Such policy would be resisted to the utmost -capacity of the Commonwealth Government.
