An intense anticyclone still covers the New Zealand area, Its centre today lying to the eastward. Consequently, the weather has remained fine over practically the whole of the Dominion, a few isolated light showers only having fallenln the far north and parts of the east coast. Winds have been light,and variable, but this morning ' the predominating directions were easterly and north-easterly. Many frosts occurred last night.
