Wright said it was an anomaly, under the Crown Suits Act as it at present stood, that the. position with regard to the unfair privileges of tho Crown in actions by ov against Government Departments had not been remedied. Where the Crown was a litigant in respect of trading ventures it should be bound by the same rules and laws as oporated between subject and subject. The Bill undor consideration would place State trading Departments on tho same footing, as regards suing and being sued, as private trading concerns. It was a reform long overdue.
