SCHOOL GYMNASTICS

The annual gymnastic competitions of. Scots College were held in the college gymnasium yesterday. All boys from the third standard upward participated, instead of a few. as in former years, and this policy has done much to raise the standard of the college gymnastics. The judges, Messrs. H. J. Steptoe and J. Collins, complimented the boys on the high standard of their work': At the conclusion of the competitions Mr. J. R. Sutcliffe, principal of the college, thanked the judges and congratulated the boys and the physical director on the excellence of the displays. The results were:—Standards 3 and 4: Spence, 1; Sewell mi., 2. Standards o and G; Edmeades, 1; Gibbons ma. and Wong She mi., equal, 2. Forms 111 and IV: Robertson mi., 1; Hill mi., 2. Forms IV, V, and VI: Hunter ma., 1; Longmore, 2. .

The championship results were:—Junior (under 15) (A. P. Smith Cup): Edmeades, 1; Spence, 2. Senior (15 and over) (Burnett Cup): Hunter, ma., 1; Longmore, 2.
